Inspired by Love
Marika, the founder of Love Mirabelle, was in a completely different field before launching the fashion brand. Having studied psychology and international relations, the founder worked as a Scientologist – but she always dreamed of creating something beautiful, rooted in emotion. She found creative freedom and emotional fulfillment thanks to the influence of her daughter Mirabelle, who loved hearts.
“She loved hearts. Always drawing them, wearing them, choosing outfits with hearts … It became the emotional core of the brand,” stated Marika.
Motherhood and Mirabelle inspired Love Mirabelle’s signature heart emblem, which is delicately woven into select pieces to serve as a little burst of love to remind you to not only wear what you love but remember where you love and who you love.
Love Mirabelle’s Style
While living in her home country, where the weather was often dark and rainy, Marika usually found herself wearing dark colors. In the face of sadness and pessimism in the environment, the brand’s founder chose a style for Love Mirabelle that is the complete opposite of gloom.
“I love light, summery, romantic colors. When I moved from a dark and rainy home country to California, my whole palette changed,” said Marika.
Marika began her journey into fashion by first exploring decorations and finding out who could create the customized decorations she was seeking. While this took time, with a supplier in India helping bring Love Mirabelle’s signature elements to life, silhouettes and styles inspired by nature and its colors were conceptualized.
Each piece in Love Mirabelle’s collection is made from handwoven and handspun cotton, silk, chiffon, and linen sourced from various regions in India. By avoiding synthetic materials like rayon, polyester, and spandex, the company minimizes its environmental impact.
It reduces the accumulation of non-biodegradable waste, ensuring your wardrobe isn’t just beautiful but also environmentally friendly. The company’s business approach also combats mass production and waste, valuing quality over quantity and emotion over trend, through its slow-fashion approach.
Embracing AI
Love Mirabelle is supported by tools like AI, with the company embracing the technology to optimize inventory and shape meaningful marketing campaigns that matter. The fashion-forward company isn’t looking to replace human artistry, though, but to use AI as a tool to help the industry move toward a model of sustainable luxury.
The company’s co-founder, Gaurav, serves as the operational lead, combining his technology and AI background with his management skills to structure the business side of Love Mirabelle.
Sharing his role with the brand, Gaurav said, “I bring management and tech background—robotics and AI. I support Marika and run operations. She has the creative eye; I handle the backend.”
